In ancient Egypt writing was called hieroglyphics. The Ancient Egyptians wrote on papyrus reed which is water or marsh plant. Ancient Egyptians wrote with pen and ink on fine paper. The pens were thin sharp, reeds which would dip into ink. They wrote a little differently such as they wrote in their language and they wrote on a different type of paper.
